President's Day.
Hopefully you all have the day off.
Of course, we do not.
I forgot to send my wishes for a lovely Valentine's
Day....a bit belatedly.
I have great memories from the past weekend.

for the first time in a long time we
were actually together
for parts of 2 days in a row!

{ granted, we were checking the houses, making sure the heat stayed on
and I sat with my box of tissues in the front seat napping when I needed to.}

By the end of the second day,
I started feeling well enough &
we have finally relaxed enough to
find our
inner children.

It was fun, and though my cough is still
hanging around, it was a terrific weekend.
So far away from this....
( I can dream )
Yet, getting out there and
moving this time of year
reminded me that I have not
put any effort in my exercise routine for
a while now.
Today I start.
As I do my daily house hold chores,
I strap on my 5 lbs. weights to my ankles.
It builds up my legs, which in turn makes it easier
to move & run, eventually... ;)
My body has always responded well to movement.
I am not a gym person, but I like to hike, run,
snow shoe, ice skate, sled...
& dance in my kitchen.
Tonight is the Grammy's ..
my girl Taylor I predict will take everything home...
{ Bruno Mars- Uptown Funk is another favorite of mine.}
I also love to see the fashions, the gowns, the trends...
My heart though will be with Joey & Rory Feek.
They inspire me with their music,
their marriage and their faith.
Joey was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical
cancer in 2014 and has elected Hospice care.
I will be praying that she has the strength to see
the show with their baby Indiana & to celebrate
her 2nd birthday tomorrow.
A true love story...
Reminds me of what is important.
Quiet day cleaning...
* lighting a fire
* paperwork
* counting my blessings...
I did not forget you all!
