Tapak sulaiman is a creeping plant found in Peninsular Malaysia and Sumatra. This species is widely used as a medicinal plant, especially in Peninsular Malaysia. Often used for postnatal care by rural people. This species has also been used as traditional medicine by the Anak Dalam Tribe of Jambi. Based on the research results, it is known that tapak sulaiman leaf extract has antibacterial activity which can inhibit E. coli bacteria, while the stem extract can inhibit S. aureus bacteria.Agroecology of Phyllagathis rotundifolia
Tread sulaiman is generally found in lowland forests, also growing on hillsides and damp forest floor areas. Its growth prefers areas in a shaded or partially shaded position, and requires moist and well-drained soil conditions.
