strawberry season is over...boo, but raspberry season is on! yay! |
| thursday |
good morning!
Let's talk about nutrition again, ok?
I have been asked about our eating plan time after time.
It is based upon clean water, whole food with attention to our
specific allergy & health issues.
It can be challenging, but we have eaten like this for years so
it does get easier.
veggies
fruits
protein
healthy fats
whole grains
water
sounds boring
but if you look at how wonderful the ingredients are all put
together:
So not bornig!
However, ever since my surgery in February , I am struggling with returning to my
best health. Is it age? The fact that I was under anesthesia for hours or that
I needed some more procedures afterward, I have no idea.
But I have been working hard at trying new ways to boost my heath.
I have researched every supplement and found that these are the best for me.
{ I was so against any supplements }
Learning that taking wheat out of my diet has taught me it has impacts upon my
health.
This may be a great answer to fill in those nutritional gaps.
also, buying fresh foods can be overwhelming.
First: head to your local farmer/ market and pick up seasonal produce.
Next, check out these tips on buying fresh produce from the supermarket:
*note- this does not take into factor GMO foods, but it is a great rule of thumb to start with.
There is no doubt: no excuses for not finding healthy choices this time of year.
{ unless you are at a carnival or fair....for which I do believe cotton candy & corn dogs are a must! }
Invest in your heath.
It is cheaper than visiting the Dr.
Yes, we do indulge in "goodies" from time to time...
How sweet are these?
Easy to make for this upcoming holiday weekend.
Just make your favorite {gf for me} cupcake and
decorate with blueberries, raspberries and coconut!
Here is hoping that your Thursday is a peaceful & positive filled one.
xxx ooo
