  Soursop comes from the United States which has a tropical climate. It was first introduced to other countries after Columbus discovered the United States, opened by the Spaniards, then introduced to the Philippines and then spread to all tropical countries. This plant is widely cultivated to produce fruit. The leaves of this plant are widely believed to be a cure for cancer because they contain annonaceous acetogenin (AGEs) which can inhibit the development of cancer cells.
