This plant with the Latin name Dorstenia elata comes from tropical rainforests in Brazil, South America, where it is an endangered species and is found in the states of Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro. Morphology of Dorstenia elata

• Flexible round stems, underground.

The inflorescence is held on a sturdy stalk, and peaks above the leaves.
