- Pears are round, on the stem (cauliflorous). Inside the hard green shell are several large seeds about 4 cm in diameter. Its flesh is yellowish orange. Globose or round oval fruit 3-9 x 4-100 cm, the opercular part is concave below the surface of the fruit and the diameter is less than 1/2 the diameter of the fruit.
